

Hard Steering
The power steering pump is not working properly
You may not have enough hydraulic fluid in the system
Check for loose belts at the power steering pump
You could have the wrong pump for the application
The steering could be out of alignment
There could be too much weight on the front axle
Check for air in the hydraulic system
The steering gear could be internally leaking causing
it to bypass
Check for the proper tire pressure
You could have oversized tires for the steering system
The hoses could be kinked or obstructed
Contamination in the pump restricting its flow
A low flow output from the pump
Low pressure rate due to external leaks in the steering
system
The control valve could be not working properly
