A copy of the invoice must be present when returning a core. If the original shipper was UPS, please notify us and we will arrange a pick up for the core at no charge to you. (Original destination only)

Core Policy

  • All units must be from our identical rebuilt exchange sale only.
  • All units must be intact with no missing pieces.
  • Housings cannot be cracked or damaged beyond repair.
  • Shafts that are twisted, bent, cracked, welded or splines that are worn will affect the core value, this will be determined by CPS at the factory.
  • Be sure all units turn freely from stop to stop.

    • Call the factory on pricing for partial core credit on questionable units being returned.

    Warranty

    Chicago Power Steering Co. offers a one-year (from date of purchase) guarantee with unlimited miles on all units.

    No returns will be accepted without prior approval from CPS.

    Warranty Terms

  • All possible warranty units must be returned to the factory with a copy of the invoice.
  • CPS reserves the right to repair or replace any or all parts of defective unit
  • CPS will warrant any unit found defective due to materials and or problems in the rebuilding process.
  • Freight charges accrued in shipment of defective unit will be refunded if found to be warranted.
  • Liability is limited strictly to the replacement of defective unit; no claim for consequential damages will be honored.
  • Chicago Power Steering Co. Does Not Pay Labor Charges.
